Ethos Team

At St Margaret’s Anfield CE Primary School, our Ethos Team plays a valued and important role in nurturing the Christian character of our school. The team is made up of Year 6 pupils who are passionate about living out our school values and helping others to do the same.

The Ethos Team takes an active role in leading whole school collective worship. They meet weekly to work together on activities linked to our Christian values, exploring how these can be lived out in everyday school life to develop their own faith, service and leadership.  In addition, the team helps to coordinate key events such as Harvest and Remembrance, encouraging the school community to support others through fundraising and acts of service.

As part of their role, the team works closely with younger pupils. They regularly visit infant classes to share Bible stories, helping to bring scripture to life and supporting younger children in developing their understanding of Christian teachings.  They are proud to lead worship within our wider community too, playing an important role in school services at our local church, St Margaret’s. This strengthens the link between school and church and helps pupils feel part of the wider Christian community.

Each year, they visit Liverpool Cathedral, giving them the opportunity to reflect, experience a place of worship on a larger scale and deepen their spiritual awareness.

Through all of their work, the Ethos Team demonstrates leadership, responsibility and a strong commitment to our Christian vision, helping to make St Margaret’s a caring and inclusive school where everyone can flourish.
