ST MARGARET’S ANFIELD CHURCH OF ENGLAND PRIMARY SCHOOL

Collective Worship

We hold collective worship every day. At St. Margaret’s Anfield CE Primary School, Collective Worship is based on the belief that our school has a Church of England foundation and that we will promote Christian values within the school as exemplified by the life and teaching of Jesus Christ.

It also makes a unique contribution to the vision, aims and ethos of the school, and therefore to the Christian education we provide. Our Mission Statement, taken from Luke Chapter 1, states “With God, all things are possible”. The whole school community are fully aware of this statement and aim to build their lives upon it. Worship permeates everything we do, as Jesus Christ is central to our faith.

Father Peter, from St Margaret’s Church, leads a weekly act of worship and we are currently making plans for a Eucharist service in the future. Worship is a special time of the day when the whole school community can reflect on the important spiritual aspects of life. We aim to make our worship relevant and contemporary for our school family. Please read our Collective Worship Policy for more details.
