Word of the Week!
We know how much you love to discover and use new words, so we have decided to carry on with our ‘Word of the Week’ online. Even though we aren’t using our dojo rewards at the minute, still try to find out the meaning of the words and use them in any writing you do, and when you are talking if you can. Perhaps you could upload an example to your class blog on See-Saw – we would love to see it!
Take care – we are missing you all very much!

Thank you for all your support as always.

In Year four homework is given out Monday to be returned for Friday. It consists of Spellings and some Times Tables activities. We have a spelling test each Friday to test the children on the words they have been learning throughout the week. Similarly, there is a times tables test on Friday too. This is to get the children used to the upcoming national tests that will begin in May.
P.E. kits are to be brought in at the beginning of each half term and will be returned home at the end of half term. PE can on any day throughout the week, so it is best that the children have them ready at all times.
During May of this year, the children in Year Four will be sitting a Multiplication Check assessment. This is the first year of this and we have been working hard to improve our times table knowledge across the year group. We hope the children are also working hard on this at home! In addition, the children have loved getting involved with the App; Times Table Rock Stars. They each have their own log in and can access this from almost anywhere!
