At St Margaret’s Anfield CE Primary School children take part in a wide variety of sporting activities. Throughout the school they continue to develop their sporting ability and try out new sports. New sports this spring term include Archery and Kinball. The children in Key stage 1 and 2 have plenty of opportunities to take part in competitive sports against other schools at a city and county level.

What is the School Games mark?

The School Games Mark is a Government led awards scheme launched in 2012 to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community. Schools in England are able to assess themselves across bronze, silver and gold levels of the mark. Our school has been awarded gold for the 2015-2016 academic year. With the focus on introducing new sports to the curriculum, we hope to retain this award at the end of the year.
