Dear Year 1,
We just wanted to let you know how much we are missing having you all in our classrooms. We know you are all staying safe at home with your families and we hope you are having lots of fun together. Here are some fun new challenges for you to complete at home. Work hard and remember to wash your hands, don’t forget to sing happy birthday twice, just like we practised. Stay safe and we hope to see you soon,
Miss Wray and Mrs Hargreaves
Welcome to our Class Page and thank you for taking the time to look at what we are doing in Year 1.
The following information might be helpful:
We send home a grid of activities for each term. Please try and complete these with your child. The activities are designed to reflect what we are covering in class, to share their learning with you and to develop their oracy skills.
You should aim to read with your child every day. We love to hear about the books you are reading at home. School reading books will be changed and sent home once a week. Please feel free to write in your child’s home reading notebook.
Our next session is Tuesday 24th March, 9.00 – 9.30am. We really look forward to seeing you there, the children love to share this special time.
1H usually do PE on Monday. Sometimes this changes so it is helpful if your child has their PE kit in school all the time.
As part of our RE curriculum the children have been thinking about signs of new life. We have looked at different plants and animals.
We are currently working on non-fiction writing. We love finding out lots of information.
